Project 52 Week 30

Journaling reads:
10 p.m. Fire Chief to John: “The fire is 1 mile from your house and coming straight at you.”
1 a.m. John calls Pam in Kansas....”What do you want out of the house?”
6 a.m. We are in the clear. It was a long night.

Quote reads: “Great flames came roaring, flaring and twisting high. Twists of flame broke loose and came down on the wind to blaze up in the grasses far ahead of the roaring wall of fire.” Laura Ingalls Wilder

Photo: This photo was taken by a firefighter from the Missoula Fire Department. I do not know the name, so I can't give him/her credit. It was a smaller photo, so the quality isn't the best...but it's an amazing example of photo journalism.
