It was too hot for the pool so our Summer Spectacular Splash took place in the cool, cool waters of our creek!

Journaling: This summer while you were staying with us the temperatures soared into the triple digits. Today it was almost 115°. Even the swimming pool felt like a warm bath, so we took you down to the creek to play in the relatively cool waters flowing there. A favorite thing to do there is to climb the old fallen cedar tree that crosses the water. Mark, you were the brave one today and played like you were scared by letting out one yell after another . . . “help” . . . “help” . . . “I’m falling”! Papa was using his big pump to pull water from the creek into his cattle tank and watering our dying trees . . . you helped with that and played in the gushing waters from the pump with Mary Paul and Amelia. All of this was good cool fun . . . out of the sun and ever so much fun! 07 06 2012
