That was quite a storm wasn't it? When we traveled from NEO to Kentucky that week we couldn't believe the amount of storm damage we saw on the way. Love that you captured this memory and your photos are great ... particularly like that main photo!
That main photo is wonderful! I don't get the weather these days . . . fire in one area and flooding in another. Wish there could be a better balance. This was a great way to document the day. The mention of your husbands detour, the kids at the computer and the chatting by lantern light speaks volumes. :O)
Your photos are pretty cool, Terri . . . I took some during that same or a similar storm here at our house. Our end wasn't quiet so dramatic and I didn't have a house full of boys either. The rain was so welcome here . . . it was a drought breaking downpour that ended three weeks of temps near and above 100°. Glad that you were on the low end of the hours without power . . . and glad that the air came on before the swelter!
