Yeah, yeah, I'm supposed to be taking time off from scrapping because of my insane work schedule and so that I can plan some upcoming vacations, and yet here I am, scrapping. I think what I did was take a break from scrapping things I felt I had to scrap and now I'm scrapping things I want to scrap. <sound of crickets chirping> Yeah, okay, I know how that sounds...the human mind is so great at rationalizing, n'est-ce pas? What am I up to now--my third farewell tour? Smile

Aaaaaaaanyway, here's a page that is long overdue. This past January, Carol (DD's very own oldbag165) sent me a photo she'd taken on a recent trip to Switzerland. For once, the story is actually on the page, so I don't need to add much more here. However, I do want to say how very cool it is that Carol saw this little guy gobbling up a big ol' hunk of cheese and she thought of me. Carol, I was so very touched by the gift of your photo! I hope you like the page I made for it!

Oh, and the page design was inspired by Jana Morton. The title of her most recent 'Jana's JumpStarts' at the Creative Passions blog is 'Repeat. Repeat. Repeat.' Thought I'd try repeating repeating repeating a photo on a page, and so here we are...

Journaling reads:
"Carol, an online friend of mine from Designer Digitals, recently took a trip to Switzerland with her husband. While walking around the town of Schaffhausen one evening, intent on photographing interesting doors and shop signs, she turned a corner and came upon this little guy outside a wine and cheese shop. Knowing my, um, predilection (soooo much nicer word than “obsession,” don’t you think?) for mice, she stopped to take his photo. Her husband thought she was nuts--taking a photo of mouse? When she was surrounded by so many colorfully painted buildings? She was so excited about getting this shot that she completely forgot to photograph the store sign, which has been her original intent, although she assured me she did get hundreds of photos of the surrounding buildings. Upon her return to the States she promptly sent me this photo. Bummer that she didn’t get the photo of the store sign, but how cool is this photo? And how very cool is it that she took it just because she knows I collect mice? Thank you, Carol, thanks from the bottom of my mouse-loving heart! You’re awesome!"
