I'm making a Photobook album of 2010 day trips where I took 100s of photos that just won't work in my yearly events album. I was thinking of keeping it very simple and just using Photobook's Photobook Designer software to start with. I couldn't resist experimenting with adding some DD products - it was surprisingly easy! The software doesn't allow blending or clipping to mask and can only shadow square elements (ie not png elements like the alpha!). I thought this was a great way for someone to add some interest to the standard photobook if they don't have access to photoshop!
Here's the two page spread (the red shadow edge is part of the software preview): http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8002/7324729798_e478f043b0_b.jpg
