Ah, April 15th. The anti-Christmas Day. For those of us who live in the States, April 15th sends a chill down our spines, as it is the day when we must have our previous year's taxes paid and we must have our tax forms from the previous year filed. Rather than actually work on my taxes today, I thought I'd work on a layout about my taxes. Uncle Sam will understand if I file this in lieu of my form 1040, right? Right? Sigh. I guess I'd better finish the real thing, unless I want to be scrapping from behind the walls of Leavenworth Prison!

Mel, I'm pretty sure you didn't have a page like this in mind when you posted the most recent iTunes challenge, but thanks so much for the inspiration! This was a great way to get my tax woe ya-ya's out!

Oh, and the page title is taken from a Beatles song. Let's all join in! Ready, a-one and a-two:

" 'Cause I'm the tax man

Yeah, I'm the tax man..."

Wait! Am I the only one singing?!?
