A continuation of my 2004 Summer Vacation Album.

After leaving the cowboy breakfast, we went in search of Cadillac Ranch. Bankrolled by eccentric millionaire Stanley Marsh 3 (he thinks putting “III” is too presumptuous so he uses the number 3), this ranch is in a field next to I-40 just west of Amarillo and is where ten vintage Cadillacs are buried nose down in the ground with their tail fins thrust toward the sky. The display is the Texas Panhandle’s answer to the Statue of Liberty. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own spray paint and leave a message.
