Journaling: I have had many attempts at losing weight before. Some have been genuine attempts that got side tracked somewhere along the way and others have been half hearted attempts that were never going to make it past week one. I have a good feeling this time. For the first time ever I am confident that I can do it. Right now, I am so focused on my healthy eating that I have not been tempted yet to cheat. I am so focused on exercise that I don’t question it. I am motivated beyond belief and I love it. I am not fixated on how much weight I have lost as opposed to how good I feel. I am making concentrated efforts to eliminate stress from my life and it is working. I am dealing with the myriad of tests I had put off. I am making appointments for those check ups that are long overdue. This is a massive overhaul of my health and I am loving every single minute of it. I might only be a few weeks into this journey but I cannot help but wonder why I have put it off so long. In the end it will be one of the most important things I have ever done. PROUD & POSITIVE - I have not been this positive in I don’t know how long. I think it goes hand in hand with being proud of myself. I am proud of my achievements so far. I am proud of the changes I am making. I am proud that I am so focused. You can’t help but think positive thoughts when there is so much good stuff going on. It’s also nice to be in control of the negative voice for once. JOGGING - I have wanted to start jogging for quite some time. I always put it off until I was a ‘few kilos lighter’. This time though I just started. There was no plan and I just found myself start running. It’s only the beginning but I am already loving challenging myself. Make it to the next corner. Make it to those trees. I love how good it makes me feel. I CAN run and I love it. FEELING GOOD - I feel good all over. My stomach hasn’t hurt recently. I don’t feel heavy and full. The aches and pains are starting to leave my legs. I look in the mirror and feel good about everything I AM doing rather than all I am NOT. I feel good about this journey. I am sleeping better. I feel like I can do it. I am happy and not focusing on stress and worries. Life is very good. MOTIVATION - Already I am finding that I am setting myself small goals and I am absolutely 100 percent loving the thrill of meeting those goals. I wake up with drive. I am making plans. I am focused, driven and more motivated than I have been in years. This is not just a quick fix but a change for the better and I am motivated to see it through to my end goal and beyond. Bring it on!
