Greetings, DD'ers! Hope the New Year is treating you well so far. With the exception of Cassie's last couple of 30MM challenges, it's been a while since I've scrapped and posted anything; I've had the most unbelievable case of scrapper's block for weeks and weeks now. Not sure why today was different, but I just needed to scrap something--anything! Fortunately, I have about a million photos that need to be scrapped, so there is no shortage of material. Smile With Christmas not so far behind us, I decided to start there, and ended up choosing this photo of a silly little decoration I got this past Christmas. I'm not sure why, but that tiny note accompanying the plate of cookies just makes me smile, and of course there's a mouse in the photo so it's hard to go wrong there, right? Right? Just me, then.

Don't know how often I'll be back (did I mention there's a grant deadline next week?), but this sure was fun! Hopefully it won't be another few months before I can scrap again.

Journaling reads:
"We have the usual assortment of Christmas decorations--sleighs and reindeer, elves and mistletoe, lizard in a Santa hat--but this little sleeping mouse, with his plate of homemade cookies and his hopeful note to Santa, was my favorite decoration of Christmas 2011."

Oh, um, the lizard in the Santa hat--long story, that. (Color you surprised!) If you want, you can see him here; why I have a lizard in a Santa hat is sort of explained here. The beastie in that layout is an alligator; different beastie but same story. Smile
