Thanksgiving 2011

Journaling reads:
2011 was the 10th Anniversary of having our Thanksgiving celebration in the Schoolhouse. I spend most of the weekend before Thanksgiving cleaning and decorating the schoolhouse. On Wednesday John starts a fire, I set the table and put out the serving pieces. We do all the cooking inside the house and then carry everything out to the schoolhouse at the last minute. This year we brined the turkey for 24 hours and it was a complete success. The turkey was so moist and the gravy was the BEST I have ever made. Mary Lou brought party crackers so we all wore our crowns while we played Montana Trivia. It was 50 degrees outside,so the trick was not getting the building too warm.....which didnít work. Mark and Julie surprised us by getting engaged. We are so excited for them, and canít wait to hear about their plans for the future. Although we were short on numbers this year, we all enjoyed our time of sharing and thanksgiving.
