Had a little fun with Pattie's new kit Smile

Dear Ella, we’re about 2 weeks away from your 9th birthday and I can’t believe you have been in our lives for this long. It seems like only yesterday that you were laying beside me in the bassinet in a hospital room in the Northern part of Japan. I remember I could not take my eyes off you. I marvelled at those then big blue eyes with a million thoughts, hopes and dreams racing through my mind. Ecstatic does not even come close. The day came to bring you home and I was terrified. Terrified of being alone with you , afraid that I wouldn’t know what to do if you cried, but most of all I was was fearful that I would not live up to what you deserve as your mother. We brought you home early on Saturday morning, set you down on the dining room table in your carrier, and there you stayed, while Dad made us some bacon and eggs. We really had no clue what to do with you. You spent a lot of time in your carrier those first days, but as the days turned into weeks, the weeks accumulated into years, and your Dad and I have learned, are still learning, how to be the best parents we can. be. We are by no means perfect and we don’t have all the right answers all the time but you totally inspire us to do be more each day. You in turn are blossoming into a thoughtful, caring and special young lady of whom couldn’t not be more proud. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to put into words how much we love you. Happy 9th Birthday Ella. Love Mom XXX
