Another page documenting the day Peter and I spent showing our Canadian relatives around the San Francisco area. This photo was taken at Muir Beach, located ~17 miles northwest of San Francisco. Tucked away as it is off the main road and nestled between two sets of bluffs, it might as well be at the ends of the earth. It was a cold and foggy Sunday, but that didn't stop local families from having a picnic on the beach, and a few brave souls even ventured in to the chilly, gray water for a swim. I was lucky to get this shot of just Peter by himself. I can't count the number of photos I have of my best beloved in this exact pose; his pose in this photo is soooooo quintessentially "him." He adopts it any time he wants to study a scene, to reflect, to just, well, be.

In the commentary for some earlier pages I've posted about the day Peter and spent with my aunt and cousin, I've mentioned how my poor auntie didn't quite get why I was constantly taking photos. As she watched me taking photos of Peter, she said, completely perplexed and in all innocence, "Don't you already have pictures of your husband?" <sound of crickets chirping followed by riotous, uncontrolled laughter followed by a deep and profound apology for laughing followed by an attempt to explain why I do what I do> Oh, Auntie! Smile
