I was a chaperone for the 5th grade field trip today to the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center in Downtown Cincinnati. It's been open since 2004 and I had never gone. It was actually full of amazing information and history I didn't know. I was shocked to learn of the famous underground railroad abolitionists that helped slaves to freedom mere miles from Cincinnati. Kentucky was a slave state so being 1 mile from freedom was quite a journey for the slaves. Here are some photos from our day. Thanks for looking!
