Journaling: We just love Salado Texas. It is only a 15 minute drive from Belton, so most trips to Belton include a trip to Salado. We have been doing this for years. The place has changed from what I call “the old days”. There is no more Sir Wigglesworth & that is a sad thing. But, there are new places and they all carry delightful items that are so fun to see. There is still a place that sells the Wigglesworth fudge & they have the big sign so it brings back good memories. I love the new Stamp Salado. It seems like stamp stores are few & far between. This is a good one & I always seems to add a stamp or two to my collection. The bicycle fence & the troll statue add to the whimisical atmosphere of this little town full of family history. Nonie & Aunt Isabell lived here back before World War II. I remember Nonie talking about it when we would go visit - love this place - love the memories!
