I have been praying for the people of Japan since the devastating earthquake and tsunami and also feeling sentimental about a trip my sister and I took to Japan in 1970. The country is so beautiful and the people so gracious.

Journaling: During a great trip to Japan during the summer of 1970 we were guests of the Ichimonji family in Osaka. Mrs. Ichimonji had fun dressing her “Western daughters” in kimonos and her son Koji played along.
(I used the old world name for Japan, Nippon, in the title because I love the way it sounds)
