I cannot believe I am getting close to finishing the Days of December book (I'm so sick and tired of Christmas).
It never fails, Christmas eve I am up until 2 or 3am, making certain everything is just right. I guess if I keep doing this year after year, I must enjoy it!
Journaling reads: This year, I was not well prepared for getting the gifts under the tree. Ron was in China, and I was working 12 hour days, plus taking care of the horses each night (most of which was in the rain), the weeks leading up to Christmas. Still things fell into place and everything was perfect come 3:00am. Cricket followed me around the house as I did the final prep, and the placing of the gifts, so I had to be certain that she not see as I placed her little cow under the tree. She would know it was hers, as she had found her gifts early in the past. Tired, I set coffee mugs, and water for brewing so that I could manage with the few hours of sleep I was about to get. I went to sleep with a smile on my face knowing tomorrow would be a special day with family.
