Now I have a then and now for my DH & DD, however, I never had a first ornament - oh well.

I was so pleased to have been given Ron's first Christmas ornament, and to also have a few baby pictures. I know there are more around, I am working on getting them, but I cherish this one of him pushing his head up and smiling for the photographer.

Journaling reads: Christmas of 2009, we drove up to Redlands to have Christmas dinner at Ron’s brother Mikes home. Before we left to drive home, a box was handed to Ron with this ornament. Mike & Carrie had found it amongst all of Edith & Russells things after their parents passed away.

You can tell by looking at it that it is quite old, as it has crazing of the finish, and areas where the finish has darkened. It had a special place on our tree this year in 2011. I am thrilled to have that from Ron’s childhood.

These photos of Ron as an infant, in 1953, and the photo now in his 50’s, and think about all the wonderful years in between, and wish I had known Ron growing up, and am thankful to know him now.
