Journaling reads: Poinsettias are such a beautiful plant. I think I love the Christmas season more when I catch a glimpse of a poinsettia in shops, or in peoples homes. They are so festive.

Each year, my boss Carl, purchases red poinsettias to decorate the office. He asks that we take one home with us, the last day we work, Christmas week. With the many single guys at our office not caring to take home a plant, we come back to the office after the first of the year to find lots of dead plants. Being that I am typically the last to leave, the last few years I taken a few extras home with me. I place one on our doorstep, and I secretly deposit a plant on neighbors front steps to brighten their holiday. I like the thought of a neighbor opening their door to see this Christmas treat, and hope it makes their day. I know it puts a smile on my face when I see each plant on the steps as I drive up our road. I have done this for the past 3 years, and think this has now become a tradition.
