Love this great new kit from Lynn!

For our third photography assignment we tried panning a moving subject. In this technique, the subject is kept in the same position of the frame throughout the exposure; to accomplish this, the camera must be moved horizontally as the subject passes by. The objective is to freeze the action while rendering the background a nice blur. I didn’t have a lot of moving subjects handy, but one day David was home washing his car. He was kind enough to stop what he was doing and drive up and down the street for me several times. I took lots of frames and finally seemed to get the hang of it. When he pulled into the driveway, I went up and made a big fuss over him. He said, "I do what I can."
