Katrina . . . what a sweet page . . . what special memories "pinned to" ordinary things around this room. Items that are sometimes "transient" can be so special. The thoughts of flowers given for a special day or just a special moment that fade away . . . school papers that mark a moment in a young life that are otherwise insignificant papers remain special forever when captured and journaled about as you have done here.
I'm sure most of us over 20 years old would love to see these moments capured and journaled about by our mother for us to look back upon. I would love to know what my mother thought "precious" to her 60 years ago!
I LOVE your pages for this class, Katrina. And, LOVE this photo of sweet little Ian enchanted by the fire glow! I LOVE too that this room looks exactly like the one in the house I grew up in . . . I can picture myself enchanted by our fireplace as a five year old. I'll have to send you a snap of our old 1930's fireplace sometime.
Oh, Katrina! What a wonderful slice of life. I long to have moments like these scrapped from my childhood. Something I could actually see. Me, I only have the memories in my heart. I think Ian will absolutely love having these wonderful pages to add to his heart memories. This is a lovely page.
This is beautiful Katrina! I love that you photographed and documented all the stuff that I would have moved out of the way. A great reminder to take 'real life' photos. Simplicity makes me happy too and you do it beautifully!
