If you look real close, you can see the cracks in my poor little glued together mug, but it is too near and dear to me to throw away!
Journaling Reads: When I was an infant, my mom had Santa mugs made for Sharon and myself. When Toni and Margaret were born, they too got mugs but being they were purchased at a different time, their faces were different. We were thrilled each year when our mom took them out, and served us cocoa in them. Unfortunately, I broke mine when I was about eleven,. I was heart-broken, and although I knew I could never again use it for cocoa, I painstakingly glued it back together. I still have that mug, but each year I search for a replacement Santa. I finally found one in 1982 (lower right). I still look for Santa mugs, and purchased another one in 2002. Is this the beginning of another collection?
