I cannot believe I am done with Dec. 1-10, and although I am sure you guys are over Christmas, it is a big deal for me to have gotten this far. I should have this done by end of February, as I am on a roll.

Journaling reads: Growing up, we didn't have stocking like the one we now use. Us four girls used knee socks. I thought every family used knee socks. I don't ever recall getting presents in my stocking, we got apples, oranges, candy canes, & Torrone Almond Nougat candy in ours (which always reminded me of Nonnie). Kathy gave me the peach lacey stocking on my move to California, when I stopped in to visit her in Tempe, back in 1980.

Ron's stocking was m ade by his mother, Edith. She had made one for both Michael and Ron. Each one with a differend design using felt, embroidery, sequins and beads.

I made Rachel's stocking the Christmas before she was born. It gave me something to do while pregnant that was both Christmas & baby related, which made me happy. I ended up stitching a different cross-stitch pattern on each side, as I couldn't decide which one to use.
