I am really enjoying this project of scrapbooking the decade. It is fun to relive these moments. I'm using the same background papers and alphas on each page to keep it somewhat unified.

2002 was the beginning of a new life for us and it is a year, I will never forget. The beginning of the year was spent getting ready for our wedding. We didn’t want to wait to get married so we had a very short engagement. We flew down to Florida in February, just before our wedding to enjoy a long weekend with Jeff’s parents. Our big day arrived on March 2, 2002. It was the coldest day of the year but it couldn’t have been more perfect. We got married at Lord of Life surrounded by the people we love. The day was a perfect start to our new life together. Jeff moved into my townhouse and it felt so good to be together. Jeff’s parents surprised us with a honeymoon trip to Maui. We were in shock and they arranged everything without us having a clue. It was the most incredible week. The rest of the year was spent enjoying married life. I was still working as a guidance counselor and Jeff was a golf pro. In the fall, we bought a house on a cul de sac with a wooded backyard that I fell in love with. We ended the year with a trip to Florida to see Jeff’s parents. 2002 was a VERY good year!
