Okay, so this photo of me is hardly in the style of Vivian Maier, but it does adhere to some aspects of the challenge in that it is a photo of me and I did get it by using a mirror to capture my reflection. This was a particularly difficult challenge for me, as I genuinely hate being in front of the camera, genuinely hate it. We don't grow if we don't at least attempt new things, though, so in a fit of spontaneity that came over me when I should have been working, I pulled my trusty point-and-shoot out of my backpack where it lives and just did it. I thought about re-doing this with a better camera or doing some fancy photo processing, but that would have completely negated the spontaneity of the moment, and I wanted to preserve that as much as I could. While pondering this challenge it occurred to me that I've been at this site for over a year now and I don't think I've ever posted a photo of me that didn't have my face obscured in some way, or was taken of me in this millennium, so here I am--warts and all! Smile
