I was fascinated by the story and photos of Vivian Maier, when I got back from vacation and saw all of the beautiful tributes in the gallery I knew I had to scrap this photo. This was taken in downtown Phoenix...it was over 100 degrees out, on a busy street...this man just slept through all of it on his lawn chair with his belongings surrounding him. I felt like an intruder taking his photo, but because I did, I have thought of him periodically and wondered if he is okay.
