It is tradition for my daughter and I to go skating on the Rideau Canal on opening day. We must skate from one end to the other. Today, 2.4 K opened for the 41st skating season, from the Bank St. Bridge to the Pretoria St. Bridge. Of course, no skate on the UNESCO World Heritage Site would be complete without a Beavertail (relax, it's a pastry) and a hot apple cider.
