Saturday Scraplift No. 186

Here is where Sarah's gorgeous page took me.

We spent the better part of Jan. 1, 2011 putting away the Christmas decorations. Ugh! I don't think it's the putting away that's the hard part--it's the cleaning up of the fallen needles (and even with a thorough vacuuming, I just know I'll be finding pine needles in July!), it's the dusting of furniture that hasn't been dusted in about a month, it's the putting out of the everyday stuff. It's pretty much an all-day job, and I was so relieved when it was all done. Somewhere during that process I was struck by how much I liked these blue and red decorations next to each other. Not sure of the thought process that led me to include a pumpkin in the photo (yes, I still had a few pumpkins left from Thanksgiving; don't ask!), except that these are some of my favorite colors and they represent my favorite times of the year. Photographing these items together made for a nice break from cleaning yesterday, and scrapping this photo today made for a nice break from, well, whatever else I should have been doing! Smile
