Last year I went crazy and hand sew an advent calendar (Seen Here. With three kids, time is of the essence so this year I went with easy peasy. The plan is to put them in the pocket of the original advent calendar and each day talk about the meaning of Christmas and the words on the photos.

Super easy advent calendar project.

Ali's Advent Boxes Advent Boxes Brushes and Stamps
Matboard (you can use anything thick)
Cropadile and 1/8 inch pewter eyelets/grommets

4 photos resized to fit a 4 by 6 photo. Added 4 separate advent boxes. Do this 6 times. Print.
Affix onto matboard.
Cut 4 boxes out.
Attach gromment.
Add ribbon.

I loved going through the year and picking shots that had a cool memory associated with it..birthday, biking etc. I'm going to give the kids one a day as part of their advent calendar. They will be hung on branches that are in a vase, maybe filled with silver jingle bells...maybe not!
