Journaling reads: Glorious fall. Nature paints the landscape in vibrant shades of red, orange, yellow and gold. The lower angle of the fall sun shining through the leaves produces a veritable feast for the eyes. The haze and humidity of the summer air is gone. The skies are a deep, clear blue. The air is crisp and invigorating, There is nothing quite like walking down a country lane on a crisp fall day and listening to the crunch of fallen leaves under your feet in the stillness. Cattails bobbing in the breeze and bales of hay waiting in the farmer's field waitng to be taken in for winter storage. A French proverb says "Autumn is the hush before winter". I would have to agree.
