Ugh! Got well and truly slammed at work this week! Picked up a new project (yay!), have to give a presentation this coming Tuesday (boo!). Plus, I'm taking Pattie's to-die-for new class over at Get It Scrapped, and I'm still trying to get ready for Halloween! Just reading this makes me want to crawl back into bed for about a week! Smile Still, there's always time for scrapping! Isn't it amazing that no matter how busy we are, these magic holes in our crazy days open up just long enough for us to make pages! Smile

At the beginning of this month I attended a conference up near Lake Tahoe. The conference facility is actually a lodge that sits right on the shore of a small lake called Fallen Leaf Lake; this tiny (by comparison to Lake Tahoe) lake is about a mile or two southwest of Lake Tahoe. On our one free afternoon, I took a photo walk around the lake and saw these two guys fishing. My photos don't do the scene justice: it was just a bit foggy and so incredibly quiet that their voices carried from the middle of the lake to me, back on shore. Maybe they really wanted to catch something, or maybe, like me, they simply wanted to enjoy the beauty and the solitude of the moment.
