Saturday Scraplift No. 173
This is my take on Lori's cute-to-die-for page.
Hey, DD'ers! Just checking in, just wanted to say "Hi!." Not quite back in full scrapping mode just yet. In fact, even as I type, I'm at this conference I've mentioned in a few layouts. (I keep saying "the conference" like this is the only one. Truth to tell, this particular conference is merely the bell-ringer for the conference "season." Many, many more to come. Sigh.) We're at a small lake just a stone's throw from Lake Tahoe; Lake Tahoe straddles the border between California and Nevada, and there's actually several smaller lakes around it. I've been busy here, but it's not been all talks and poster sessions. We had a free afternoon on Thursday, so while most people went hiking or took a nap, I went on a photowalk and then scrapped a couple of pages, although I didn't take the photo in this particular layout while out on my photowalk. (I probably didn't need to tell you that last bit, right? )
The story is this...
One way I tell the changing of the seasons is by the candy in the drug stores; fall is heralded by the arrival of Brach's Fall Festival mix, which, in reality, is simply candy corn all dressed up to look like pumpkins. I was so glad to finally get the shot that I wanted here, because what I dearly wanted to do was eat my subject material!
The leaves are turning color
There's a frost on the grass
The days are growing shorter
There's a chill in the air
Brach's Fall Festival Mix is in the stores!
Credits to follow (all DD!), but probably not until I get home Friday night. I'm pooped!
...and I am home now! Yay!
