So I know I've been posting a lot of mother/daughter hiking pages lately, but these photos from a previous trip worked so nicely in the page stuffers. . . so I figured I'd just go with it. It makes me think that I should do a whole book about all my trips with my mom. Guess that's going to have to go on the "to do" list! : )


Journaling Reads:
On one of your summer visits, we headed north to the Adirondaks. Little did we know that it had been raining in the High Peaks since June without reprieve! Ever game for an adventure – rain be damned – we struck up the trail to Cascade Mountain around ten in the morning. We picked our way up the mountain, dodging mud slicks and trail “ponds” along the way. And when we came to the final stretch, can you believe it? The weather broke just long enough for us to scramble to the peak and marvel at the beauty below.
