I just purchased the Madras and Marche kits, so I used elements from these kits to create this page for my yummy chickpea curry recipe. I thought the turmeric colored paper was the perfect background! Thanks for looking Smile

1-2 T. butter
1-2 cloves garlic, minced
1 small onion, diced
2 t. ground cumin
3/4 t. ground coriander
1/2 t. hot curry
1/4 t. cinnamon
1/4 t. turmeric
1/4-1/2 t. kosher salt
1 can Rotel or diced tomatoes
1 can chickpeas, rinsed and drained
1/2 cup half and half or cream to taste

Melt butter in saute pan, add onion and saute for a few minutes until
softened.  Add garlic and all spices and saute til fragrant, about a
minute or two.  Add tomatoes and chickpeas and simmer for a few
minutes.  Add cream to taste and keep over low heat for a few minutes
to let flavors meld.  Taste for seasoning and sprinkle with a handful of chopped
cilantro.  Add salt & pepper to taste.

Serve over jasmine rice, sprinkle with cilantro.
