This is for Pattie's class on Digital Art Journaling. The assignment: to scan personal items and use them on a collage page.
My Aunt Emma Jo was such an intriguing person to me as a child. She had run away from home at 16 and married a member of Glenn Miller's Band! That was just the beginning...she was a doozy. She was gorgeous and did a lot of modeling in Dallas.
The news clips are from the audition she had for a role in Audie Murphy's movie "The Guns of Fort Petticoat" in 1956. She was a finalist and wound up being Kathryn Grant's understudy.
The background is a magazine cover and the little pinup is an extraction from a calendar that belonged to my dad.
