This week’s challenge required me to stretch my creativity a bit and had me using tools and elements that I hadn’t touched in a while. LauraBean’s To Be a Martial Artist has both a great message and a great layout.

Journaling: I knew going into this that it was not a sure thing; that it would require some sacrifice (which I am entirely willing to make); that the final outcome would not be in my hands; that, if by the grace of God I get the chance, it will be a lot of hard work; & that ultimately the opportunity may never come my way. But it is still something I want very much. More than “much.” I want it badly.
Weekly I do what I can to get ready. Each act is a gesture of hopefulness that I don’t always feel. So I wait, sometimes patiently and sometimes less so, while planets align and threads are measured. And maybe it is not meant to be. But I’m not giving up. Just because something is a long shot, doesn’t mean you don’t take it.
