I don't normally do "slice of life" LOs but am coming to realize how important they are as my memory fades of my own childhood.

Thank you for looking.

Journaling:
Ahh, the Saturday morning routine ... you can set your watch by it. First thing in the morning is cartoons with Dad, a tradition from his childhood that cannot be denied. While Dad prefers Bugs Bunny and Friends, Tom and Jerry and Auto B Good are the current cartoons of choice. Afterwards, itís homemade pancakes, banana muffins or cherry turnovers for breakfast. Mom usually gets up around 9 a.m., and the start of
Saturday chores is not far behind. Thereís a job for everyone. The duties of sweeping, vacuuming, cleaning windows, dusting, and wiping out bathroom sinks fall to the kids, while Mom and Dad finish up the laundry and the dishes, scrub the
toilets, scour the bathtub, clean the kitchen and mop the floors. We all pitch in and are usually done by 1 p.m., just in time to have a relaxing Saturday afternoon of Wii.
