Remember to take time
This is a layout I did for this week's color challenge of Cathy Zielske's Design Your Life class at Big Picture Scrapbooking.
Please indulge me in a little self-therapy . . .
Journaling reads: One of my favorite pastimes as a kid was to go sit out under one of the big trees that lined our driveway.; I would lay on the grass and stare up through the branches into the blue sky.; I did a lot of thinking under those trees and dreamed a lot of dreams below those branches.; It was during these back to nature meditation sessions that I would really get in touch with things that were important to me.; Inspiration; desires; and hopes would all come to light.; I believed anything was possible.; Since then; I have come to believe that when I listen to my heart; I am in essence talking to God.; I believe He is always inside of me but to hear Him I must take the time to listen. Itís not something that is easy for me to do.; Because of my nature; I tend to wake up with a to-do list in my head and often go through my day robotically checking things off.; I spend little time thinking; much less dreaming about all the wonderful things this world has to offer.; Lately I have felt something calling to me.; Iím not sure what it is but I feel like thereís something I need to start paying attention to.; I need to stop and be mindful of whatís meaningful to me.; I need to take the time to dream again.; I need to stop and listen to my heart.
Template is by Cathy Z. from the class. I turned it on it's side and made a few adaptations.
