Jaclyn and XXXXX worked hard to earn their Girl Scout Silver Award. They completed the award by hosting a two-day Junior Sewing badge workshop and by each of them making a standard sized quilt for two foster care girls. Throughout the entire process the girls worked on planning, organizing, shopping and sewing. It took them about 9 months to complete the entire project. Their troop and our church members supported them financially for the cost of the Junior workshop and quilt materials. XXXXX and I helped the girls work through the steps of the project. Since I don’t know how to quilt XXXX’s help with that aspect of the project was essential. We delivered the quilts to a very grateful foster care Director.
