First Day of School
Another template from the DYL class. It was originally a two page 8.5x11 spread, but I only scrap 12x12 for my books, so I altered the template. The topic this week was Repetition. Can you find all the things I repeated?
It’s the first day of school and Madeleine and Emilie are excited to start the brand new school year. From the looks of the two of them, this is the year of zebra prints, peace signs and bright colors! The girls both picked out their “first day of school” outfits at Justice and they both look so stylish and cute (but don’t tell Maddy... she’s at that age when “cute” isn’t good anymore!)
Madeleine is starting the fourth grade. This is the first year that she will be changing classes for math, language arts, social studies and science. Her entire homeroom class has the same schedule, so they will move as a class, but it is still one step closer to next year when she will be changing classes on her own!
Emilie is in first grade. She found out yesterday at “Meet the Teacher” that they will be using iPod Touches in their classroom. She is thrilled! When she got home, I asked her how school was and in her words, “It was AWESOME!”
We have a tradition of taking a family picture on the first day of school every year and this year was no exception. Grandma & Grandpa came over to wish the girls well on their first day
and then the bus was here and it was time to go.
