I did this layout for the weekly color challenge in Cathy Zielske's Design Your Life Class. I felt like I was cheating when I found 3 of the 4 colors in Katie's Simple Classics No. 6 kit!

Journaling: You looked so cute all decked out in your clown outfit; complete with a red nose, multi-colored wig and giant, floppy shoes. You were bouncing around the house in anticipation of getting to go trick or treating with your friends. Alone. Without any adults. Going alone was going to be a milestone for you. It was a sign that we trusted you and meant newfound freedom. However, that carefree attitude changed with a phone call from Emma. She asked if you’d mind if her 16 year old boy cousin could come along. You had no choice but say okay. His coming along was going to change everything. And you didn’t like it. I could see it immediately in your face. Every picture after that call showed your disappointment. I was disappointed for you too. Plus, I didn’t like the idea of a teenage boy hanging out with you either. Thank goodness for Dad. He walked along with you two (and the cousin). It wasn’t what you initially planned but it all turned out okay and you had a good time. It was so nice to see the smile come back to your face. Halloween 2009
