I still haven't got around to doing anything with our Christmas pictures form last year. For some reason I always seem to be a year late with Christmas. Hoping to get some personal projects done in December and I think England 2008 might be the top of my list. In themeantime, capturing a few of the memories attached to this favorite inmage of Luke on Christmas morning.

Journaling:
We were back in England for the first time in 4 years. It was our first time away from home for Christmas as a family of 4. It was just a few days away until my sister’s wedding. 2008 was a special Christmas. Mama went above and beyond. So many cool memories wrapped in this photo of Luke opening his stocking presents on Chrstmas morning. I remember the preparations for Santa Claus and his reindeer the night before, making cookies and setting out a whisky (Papa’s tradition Smile and carrots. Tracking him on the computer as he made his way around the world. Mama ringing a china bell outside Luke and Ella’s bedroom window and Luke tearing around the house stark naked not knowing which way too turn. Mum used to do that when we were little too. It was a signal that Santa was close and if we weren’t asleep by the time Santa got to our house, then there would be no presents. That *knife* hat complete with tag that, in the hands of Luke lasted all of about 2 minutes, but it was 2 minutes of pure fun. New Star Wars jammies and a big old war wound on his forehead to match obtained the day before while spending the afternoon with Papa. An old fashioned Kaleidoscope that brought back memories of my childhood and time spent with my Mum’s parents. The magic of Christmas is forever preserved in this image. December 2008
