Little White Guy
So, after lurking about this site for a couple of months, and even buying tons o' products, I didn't actually make my first digital scrapbook page until a few days ago. Now I can't seem to stop! :-)
This is my second page, and I'm sure I've made the classic rookie mistake of trying to put too much onto a single page, but I was having such fun playing with everything, and riots of color appeal to me. Besides, Firefly was a rather flamboyant cat; I think he would have approved. :-)
"I miss you.
We eventually named you Firefly, because of the way you constantly darted about, but when you first came to us as a tiny, frightened, stray kitten, we simply called you the little white guy, and that is the name that stuck.
All cats are cool, but you redefined the word and made it your own. Chatty and curious, bold and brave, fearless and friendly, you vexed the neighborhood dogs and were adored by the neighborhood children.
Of all that I loved about you, I most loved how you accompanied us on our nightly walks. You always took your own route, of course--on top of fences, under cars, through bushes-- and you always kept your own pace, but you managed to keep us in sight and you were somehow always on the porch waiting for us when we got home.
I like to think that at the end of our walk through life,
you will be there once again, waiting as you always did, waiting for us as we finally come home.
I miss you.
Did I say that already?"
