Lost in Translation
This is a late-comer for last Saturday's Scraplift of Laura Bean's fabulous and funky layout: http://www.designerdigitals.com/digital-scrapbooking/ideas/showphoto.php?photo=108786&ppuser=3774
This one was way of my comfort zone - patterns, lots of swirly embellishments. . . a far cry from my usual simple, clean style. But it's always good to test your boundaries (I hope, at least)! And thanks, Katie for the fun freebie papers from this week's Color Challenge. : )
"Sprechen Sie Deutsch?" (Do you speak German?)
We had one more day abroad and you surprised me with tickets to the Frankfurt Opera. What a beautiful end to our honeymoon trip — so romantic and exotic.
You were thinking there would be subtitles in English. There weren’t. You were hoping we could buy a program with translations. We couldn’t. The singing was Italian; the subtitles were German. And we don’t speak much of either.
But the music was so moving. And I couldn’t have loved it any more — even if it had been in English!
