Bekah had to go back into the hospital after over a week home, one of the longest times since all this started. I had to shake my head about Sharlah now home schooling! She had planned to be starting law school about now since college professors' salaries are kind of stagnant now. DH's son is a math prof at ASU. (Bekah went into the hosp the night this was written.) No word since Weds.

Bekah is still at home! This is a record! Wahoo!!

She still has a temp of about 99.6ish. Sad

Because the Dr.s are worried about Fungi... I looked up fungal infections on the Internet for severe aplastic anemia and it scared the crap out of me. I had to get off. I pray pray pray it is NOT fungal and she is able to get her ANC up to a fighting number to be able to fight if there is any. (It was at .01 which is 10 on Monday...hope we see some improvement tomorrow!)

School....Bekah's school started this last Monday. It was very sad for us to be driving to the Clinic while all of her friends on our street were going to the bus stop. I try not to think of it too much, but Bekah seems to handle the isolation better then her mommy. (I get stir crazy!...We can't go anywhere because of her ANC, but it is too HOT to just go outside.)

So... I have officially withdrawn Bekah from her school. Sad

I am now Homeschooling!!!!!
What?! you say??? Yes....these are my thoughts too, but it is only for the year. You would think I would be ok with it since I am a teacher, but I NEVER taught little kids. That is soooooo sooooo different then High School! I found a good online school that Bekah can do from the house. I have to work with her of course, but at least I have some guidance! (Applause here please. Smile

Please pray that the Immune Suppressant Treatment begins to work and her fever is just her body learning to work again. Please pray her counts go up and we can begin to ween off of blood products.

Maureen, what a beautiful, beautiful girl! Bekah is just radiant in that photo. Praying that her aplastic anemia comes under control, and that she continues to improve every day; she is on the prayer list at our church.
