I thought I would be able to add this info after uploading the LO -- guess I was wrong, so here it is:

Journaling: This is photo of me taken in the Smithsonian Museum of American History. I am on a stretch of Route 66 in Oklahoma on which I first traveled when I was five years old. From that trip, I recall a crystal chandelier in a hotel in St. Louis; the fantastic landscapes of grassland prairies, steep mountains, and arid desert; a fish-shaped children’s menu from a restaurant in Amarillo; and the nighttime howling of coyotes in Albuquerque. When I was nine, I was thrilled by a visit to colonial Williamsburg, Virginia. My husband and sons share my love of travel. Williamsburg was the destination of our first long family trip. It was the place I went for comfort with a broken ankle and collar bone, and after an initial diagnosis of breast cancer. Planning trips has helped me get through personal, professional, and medical problems. I have traveled in 43 states, Canada, Mexico, and all four Scandinavian countries. To me, the experiences in the places I have been are more valuable than belongings.
