GRW 1924 Scooter
This page is about my father who was 6 years old at the time.
Journaling reads: Times were tough in 1924 Kansas City. George and his Mother, Winifred, left the farm in Cherokee, Kansas for a better life in Kansas City. Family stories say that they lived with a friend in Kansas City for awhile before moving to Chicago. I don’t know the story behind George’s new scooter, but you can see the price tag still attached to the frame.
