This challenge inspired me to use a strict grid and the circle elements; but most importantly, it made me think of the most important woman in my life - my mother. The quote uses nature as a metaphor, so I included the flower and natural elements in the layout (and they are very befitting my mom's personality as well - she's an outdoor gal like me.)

Quote reads: "Youth fades, love droops, the leaves of friendship fall; a mother's secret hope outlives them all." by Oliver Wendell Holmes
Journaling (middle left): Every day, I think of you. And every day, I am thankful. Because life would mean so much less without you.

"Icon" layout idea is originally from a magazine ad that another designer scrapped. I can't find the page on the site, but if it looks like yours, please let me know so I can give you proper credit. : )
