I knew you had sleep apnea 1 year ago, but you were too young for us to be sure, so we waited and waited and watched you sleep restlessly, wake up tired, not want to eat and we knew we had to do something. So, you had your tonsils and adenoids taken out and let me tell you, you were such a brave little boy. The doctor said your tonsils were huge! You cried for me when you woke up, but then I calmed you in my arms. After that, you really were a super trooper. They put the IV in your right hand and you adjusted by using your left hand to eat and color. When the nurses came in like every 2-3 hours to check your vitals and give you medicine, you cooperated fully. Even in the middle of the night, you were so good. I hope after all of this, you get your full nights’ rest and have the energy that a 3 year old boy should have. I know that this week is tough on you, and if I could I would take all the pain and discomfort away from you, but remember what doesn’t brake us makes us stronger. I love you, little champ. Smile
