You are not such a great napper and this varies day to day. Some days you cat nap and other days you have big naps. You smile at everyone you come across and are such a happy little baby. You roll around all over the place. So far you can only roll from your back to your front. But you are practicing hard to go from front to back as well. You are a real anything goes kind of baby. Unless you are dirty or really hungry then you are happy most of the time. At your recent immunisations you only squealed during the needle and that was it! You shocked us all! You currently weigh 7.48kgs. You have the cutest little rolls! That is you, Sweet Poppet. So perfectly lovely. Every day I count my blessings that you are part of our family. You are growing so very quickly right before our eyes and you are more sweet and lovely every single day. You get a lot of attention when we are out and about and people regularly stop to check you out. You have a smile that lights up your whole face and it’s near impossible not to smile back at you. Who wouldn’t want to anyway? You recently moved from your bassinet to your big girl cot. You love all the extra room in there! You needed it too, because your are tracking in the 97th percentile! You are still Mumma’s little squishy though and love cuddles. When I get you up first thing in the morning you hold on tight and snuggle in close. Those first moments in the morning when you and your brother are up are some of my favourites. That’s when it’s time for quiet Mumma cuddles. No matter what is going on, all is right with the world when I get those cuddles.

15 comments Wed, 16 Apr 2014 22:18:14 +0000 Explore

by: tracermajig

Description}: Thanks for looking. :) Arrow Outline Sentiments Travel Brushes and Stamps Artsy Layered Paints No. 03 Away We Go Kit Fine Line Twists Brushes and Stamps No. 03 Sudbury Paper Pack Thoughtful Layered Template Watery Photo Masks No. 08 Font: Olivetti Type 2

16 comments Mon, 14 Apr 2014 11:01:46 +0000 SSL - This Fabulous Smile

by: tracermajig

Description}: What a fun lift! He lives and breathes all things weather. And he knows what he is talking about. If there is a storm, he is outside taking photos and watching until he has to come in (or I beg him to). Once when we went camping we got caught in a ‘bit’ of a weather system. We got 100mm of rain in one night and were bunkered down in our tent hoping not to float away. Most people would have packed up and headed home but your Dad thought it was the best part of the whole trip! He was out in it digging trenches around the tent to keep us dry while Mummy considered sleeping in the car. He analyses data. He collects data, too. He has wind, UV, rain and temperature sensors that all collect data electonically. And he has been collecting that data ever since I got him the equipment for Christmas in 2007. And he’s also a pretty good forecaster. Your Daddy is where I go to check if it’s safe to hang out the washing. And do you know what? He is usually spot on.

10 comments Sat, 12 Apr 2014 04:48:08 +0000 Right Here..

by: tracermajig

Description}: I hardly changed a thing to this awesome template. :) Thanks for looking! You just knock our socks off at all the the new things you are doing and learning. You are so good at throwing and catching balls now. You can aim right on target and have a pretty good bowling technique when it comes to cricket. Your co-ordination is imrpoving every single day when it comes to your catching. You don’t drop many balls these days. You also come out with new sentences on a daily basis. The most recent one that had us in fits of laughter was to me, “Daddy said I have cookie”. It didn’t work but 10 points to you for trying! You like to help me in the kitchen and are pretty good at mixing up a scrambled eggs mixture. Mummy cracks the eggs and does the hot stuff but you do everything else. You had so much fun helping me with making eggs that you now eat them - something I’ve been trying to get you to do since you were old enough to eat eggs! Well done, You! If I ask you if you want to bake cookies then you are quick to drag a chair to the kitchen bench to help. You even know where the mixer lives. You like to help roll the mixture into balls but I am yet to get you to put said balls on the tray and not in your mouth. You have become a real little climber lately and are no longer afraid of heights. In fact, when we go to any playgrounds you spend the whole time climbing up, sliding down and climbing back up again! In your trampoline now you have worked out how to unzip the enclosure and climb out yourself. My heart skips a beat seeing you stand near the edge but you have it mastered and know how to get down. You truly amaze us every single day. You are growing and changing all the time, so much so that some days I worry I won't keep up!

10 comments Thu, 10 Apr 2014 21:12:55 +0000 Girl & Bear

by: tracermajig

Description}: This little snuggly was Lincoln's as a baby and now Poppy has claimed it as her own. We always suspected that you were a girl. Mummy just had this feeling that you were. But the biggest thing was that we picked out a potential girl’s name straight away but could not even think about boys names. When we were pregnant with your brother, we couldn’t even think about girls names. That is what made us certain you were a little girl. This was a secret that you were intent on keeping to yourself though. At the 18 week ultrasound you kept your legs crossed and were not going to give us any hints at all. After nearly 1.5 hours of them to trying to get clear images of the really important stuff (your heart etc) we knew were not going to find out your gender. Something you will learn about Mummy as you get older is that she likes to be over prepared for everything and because of this, she does not like surprises. There was no way Mummy could wait until you were born and to be honest, Daddy was super excited to find out, too. So the next logical step for us was to book a gender scan. We invited your Nana and Pa Walker along as they had not yet seen you ‘on the big screen’ and we were all excited mostly to just see you. You were uncooperative again and I started to think we would have to wait until you were born! However, towards the end of the session we were able to get a quick glimpse to see that you were indeed our little baby.... GIRL! Mummy and Daddy’s suspicions were correct! Our little ‘Poppyseed’ was growing so beautifully in there!

19 comments Mon, 07 Apr 2014 20:35:05 +0000 TBT - This Is Twenty One

by: tracermajig

Description}: For the Turn Back Thursday Challenge on the blog! :) Thanks for looking. :) Happy Words Brushes and Colored Rub Ons Oiselet Rouge Kit Eat Cake Kit Alandia Rancheros Kit (glitter flourish) Catana Kit (key) Fresh Vintage: Albia Element Pack (doily, stitched word strip, tied strip) Fresh Vintage Stacks No. 01 Hand Drawn Numbers 1-31 Brushes and Stamps Lens Flare Brushes and Stamps No. 01 Letter Box Garden Song Kit (branch, Simply Botanicals Mini Kit No. 01 (metal butterfly, ric rac stitch) Vintage Photo Frames No. 34 Font: Mathilde Journaling: Turning twenty one was a big deal in our family. A bigger deal than turning 18 even and becoming an ‘adult’. Mum threw a big party for all of us as a celebration and invited lots of family and friends. It was an event that would take months and months to organise. For my twenty first we decided to have a ‘reef and beef’ bbq. Mum had a big marquee set up in the backyard and 70 odd family and friends from near and far came to celebrate. Mum had collected serving dishes all year for all of the food and desserts and those dishes were later given to me as well. I still have and use many of them, even now. Twenty one was a period in my life that I would not have back if you paid me. It was a time of a lot of change and ups and downs and really was a turning point in my life. Linc lost iPad privileges as he was becoming obsessed with it. We decided it was time for a technology detox. Surprise, he started behaving again! My plans to do cake pops for his birthday cake went out the window when I couldn’t find what I needed - so I decided on an m&m cake instead. I went to order Dylan’s chicken coop this week and decided at the last minute to google reviews for it - they were not good! Xxx and Xxxx offered to help him build one when they visit so we are going to do that instead. All this week, whenever Poppy wanted to be picked up she has said “Mumma...mumma...mumma”. At least that’s what it sounds like! I went on a cleaning binge this week - my body made me pay for that, big time! Saturday we finished Linc’s birthday shopping and did a long overdue backyard clean up. It’s looking good! Sunday was Linc’s family birthday party. He had a ball playing on the waterslide and stuffing his face with cake! Let’s Party: We had Lincoln’s birthday party a few days early so he could celebrate with his cousins. Mum and Step Daddy brought over a water slide as it was going to be a hot day and the kids loved it! I made nachos and an m&m cake which Linc just loved so much! A great day to celebrate 3! Poppy This Week: *** We have been hearing what sounds like “Mumma”. Is that possible so young? *** She has become very interested in watching us eat. She told Dylan off when he wouldn’t share his chicken wings. *** Has been a real dribble machine lately. Might be time to break out the bibs!

10 comments Wed, 02 Apr 2014 04:34:37 +0000 We Are Your Family

by: tracermajig

Description}: This is for Poppy’s baby book. So the midwife, Megan and your Daddy took you back to our room to do your checks and what not so that when I came back to the room you would be ready to have your first feed. It did not quite work out that way. Mummy’s 30 minutes in recovery turned into two hours! All i wanted was to get back to that room and give my baby girl some cuddles (and a feed!). And what you see is what you get. I am not very good at pretending the sun is shining when the sky is raining crap on my head. And let’s face it; life can’t always be sunshine and roses. Although sometimes I think it would be nice! But we have to have the ‘showers’ to grow and learn and appreciate who we are and what we have. If life was always ‘sunny’ we would miss out on so much. At least that’s how I look at it in hindsight. At the time I’m probably not so insightful. I have been blessed to have a lot of sunshine in my life lately and that is not something I take for granted. I love these days when life is chugging along as it should and all is happy. I think we own most of the baby lines Target has out... You are so obsessed with your brother at the moment and follow him with your eyes everywhere when you can see him. This week I found him entertaining you by jumping off the couch. Every time he jumped your little face lit up with the biggest smiles. You thought it was the best fun ever... You got to meet your little cousin, Lachlan this week. It was also the first time you have gone in the car for a long drive. You hate your capsule. Absolutely hate it. The minute we do up the restraints you start to scream and then won’t stop until the car is moving. While the car is moving you are happy and will go to sleep. As soon as we stop the screaming match starts. It was an hour and 20 minute drive each way to see Uncle Chris, Aunty Bindi and Lachy and you did so well. We didn’t hear a peep out of you on either the drive down or back. Thankfully it was a highway drive and there was not much stopping! We were able to get some photos of you and Lachy together. He was so little beside you but at one point he curled up in a little ball and cuddled into your side. It was the sweetest thing. We can see you two getting into mischief when you are older!

10 comments Wed, 19 Mar 2014 20:29:31 +0000 11 Weeks

by: tracermajig

Description}: Playing a little catch up. :) Thanks for looking! This is one your Daddy’s looks, baby girl. I thought your brother was a spitting image of your Daddy at this age, but you are more so. And funnily enough, you both give me this look whenever I have the camera pointed at you! You really love your Daddy time and quite often you fall asleep at night being rocked in his arms... Your hair seems to be lightening up and it looks like we have another strawberry blonde in the family!.. You are such a vocal little baby and make so many different sounds. It honestly sounds like you are trying to have a conversation most times. We have been hearing babbles that sound so much like “Mumma”. You only say it when you are hungry and it’s not even a cry. It is very much “Mummmmmmaaa”. Needless to say, it always gets my attention and it’s always when you are hungry... You rolled over onto your side this week! You bring your little legs up and try ever so hard to roll off your back. You squirm and wiggle so much that it is nothing to find you moving around your play mat on your back! More and more you like to be upright these days and find your bouncer too reclined... Your little cousin Lachlan was born this week also. You will have someone to grow up with! It is hard to believe you were that little not so long ago!

8 comments Wed, 19 Mar 2014 20:27:06 +0000 Beautiful View

by: tracermajig

Description}: Thanks for looking. :) Attic Treasures Scrapbooking Kit (file tab) Banner Labels No. 01 Bridle Creek Add-On Paper Pack Bridle Creek Horse Scrapbook Kit Bridle Creek Solids Paper Pack Curated Studio Mix Scrapbooking Kit No. 05 (camera charm) Cutting Files: 3x4 Pattern Cards No. 01 Faringdon Scrapbooking Kit (owl, flower, wordstrip) Farm Fresh Collection (chicken wire) Folia Scrapbooking Kit (safety tag, bow) Lens Flares: Colors No. 01 Minted Wings Blendables Minted Wings Flairs Minted Wings Scrapbooking Kit (bird, butterflies, edger) Pine Creek Brushes and Stamps Pine Creek Kit (beads, pebbles, wood geo tag and mountains) Pinned: Wood Veneers No. 01 Vintage Photo Frames No. 34 Words Of Beauty Brushes and Stamps Font: KG Primary Penmanship, Bebas Neue Journaling : After spending the morning wandering around Arrowtown we still had some time to kill before heading to Queenstown to check into our accommodation. So we drove around for a little bit and came across the Arrowtown Cemetery. There was a little hill above it which had a memorial and Dylan and I walked to the top of it to check out the view and take some photos. As Arrowtown is an alpine town, the view was simply beautiful. It was autumn and the trees were changing colour and there were mountains wherever we looked. We sat for a good while enjoying the quiet and soaking in the sunshine and the mountain views around us. We wanted to commit as much of it to memory as we could as our local views back home are so very different.

20 comments Sat, 15 Mar 2014 11:47:24 +0000 SSL: A Day To Remember

by: tracermajig

Description}: This is my take on Lisabarrie’s beautiful page Georgetown Fall. Thanks for looking :) Marlow Collection Blendable Journalers No. 01 Cardstock Tabs No. 02 Faringdon Scrapbooking Kit (tag) Folia Scrapbooking Kit (tape) Fresh Vintage Stacks No. 01 Frosted Fun Washi Tapes and Tape Sentiment Clusters Leaving On A Jet Plane Brushes and Stamps Simple Collage Frames No. 01 Striping Graphic Brushes and Stamps No. 01 Font: Traveling Typewriter Journaling: We spent this day exploring Queenstown and it was everything we expected it to be. A decent backyard with entertaining space. Four bedrooms. Not too far a drive from public transport (for our daily commute for work). No neighbours right, smack bang on top of us. But most importantly, a place that felt like home. We didn’t care if it was fancy and brand new; if it did not feel like home when we walked in the door then it wasn’t even considered. We looked at brand new houses on small blocks. Small houses on big blocks. Old houses, new houses, loved houses and neglected houses. But none of them felt like home until we walked in the door here. We booked tickets to take Linc to Disney on Ice in late June. Can’t wait! Poppy was a cranky bum all week thanks to her immunisations and a growth spurt. We received a package from the lovely Jenelle and in it were some 6 month size suits. They fit Poppy perfectly! LOL!! I spent up big in Typo on Thursday night shopping for Sierra’s birthday present. Friday night Poppy kept us up all night. Saturday was Sierra’s birthday party at Nana and Pa’s house. Sunday we dosed up on caffeine (or rather de-caf for me) and headed to the beach for a few hours. It was bliss! 18 FEB - I had this electric keyboard sitting in the cupboard doing nothing, so I got it out for Lincoln to play with. He knew immediately how it worked and has had fun making ‘music’ ever since. He even grabbed his little ukulele and tried to put on a bit of a concert. The funny thing is some of his ‘music’ doesn’t sound half bad. I just wish he had not discovered the volume controls. It gets loud! We decided at the last minute (and after a much needed drive to Gloria Jeans) to take Linc to the playground at Xxxxx Beach. He had a ball going down the slide for an hour and then he and Dylan went down to the beach to build sandcastles. It was so windy that Poppy and I stayed where it was nice and sheltered. This little baby really wants to be mobile. She loves her tummy time and wants to move. I sat and watched her drag herself from one side of the mat to the other. How is this possible?? 22 FEB - We went to Nana and Pa W’s to have sandwiches and cake for Sierra’s 4th birthday. Nana had made her a ‘My Little Pony’ birthday cake that was chequered pink, purple and green inside! Linc tried to sneak a taste - so cheeky!

10 comments Wed, 05 Mar 2014 06:24:01 +0000 Everyday Joy

by: tracermajig

Description}: Thanks for looking. :) Splatters Brushes and Stamps No. 04 Clipped Stacks No. 08 Curated Studio Mix Scrapbooking Kit No. 03 Curated Studio Mix Scrapbooking Kit No. 04 Jingle Scrapbook Kit Littlest Farmer Kit (bow) Merry and Bright Add-On Paper Pack Pound # Everyday Life Brushes and Stamps Readymade Blocks: Christmas No. 01 School Mates Kit Stitched Down Sayings Striping Graphic Brushes and Stamps No. 02 Font: Splendid 66, Bebas Journaling: Nothing brings you greater joy right now than tummy time. For an hour or so it is just you and me, my little one and it is so wonderful. You are very much a morning baby and wake up happy and smiling. This is just a snippet of our mornings right now, before our routine changes once again. 1. At the moment you still sleep in your bassinet in Mummy and Daddy’s room. You are our little alarm clock, waking us up between 5-6am most mornings. You always wake up so happy and smiling! 2. When Mummy peeks her head over the top of your bassinet you get so excited you almost squeal. Your little legs start kicking and you do a baby version of the double fist pump! It melts my heart. 3. You coo at Mummy while she changes your nappy. It is almost like you are telling Mummy how well you slept and whatever it is you dream about. We have the most wonderful conversations at 5am! 4. You are so peaceful while you feed. Mummy enjoys the quiet time and cuddles before the rest of the house is awake and sometimes has to try not to fall asleep herself! 5. You tend to fall asleep after your feed. After cuddles, kisses and ‘I love you,” Mummy puts you back down to sleep. Then your big brother comes in for his morning cuddles! Mummy is so blessed!

11 comments Mon, 24 Feb 2014 05:54:38 +0000 Template Mash Up - 13 Rocked

by: tracermajig

Description}: For the template mash up challenge. I took it in my stride though, made a lot of new friends and had a great time. We moved to the other side of town just before the final term of grade 8 and that meant a change of schools and making new friends. Thankfully it all happened easily and I am still in contact with those ladies today. It always makes me smile to see the women we have become. I loved sport at this age. I joined the volleyball team at XXSHS and continued to play until I changed to cricket in grade 11. I watched the rugby league, NBL and cricket religiously on tv. I never missed a match or game. I loved a 5 day test and my Brisbane Broncos! I was a book worm and read a lot of teen fiction. I saw Jurassic Park on opening night. I loved ‘The Bodyguard’ soundtrack and I watched ‘Rage’ and ‘Video Hits’ every single weekend. There was no computer or gaming consoles. Spare time at home was spent outside and the rule was no tv before homework. I was expected to help Mum with housework and the dishes, hanging out washing, vacuuming and keeping my room tidy were expectations. My pocket money always went towards magazines - TV Hits, Dolly or Girlfriend and posters were a hot commodity! FOR THE RECORD: ** I was in grade 8 and had just changed schools to XXSHS. ** We had just moved to Xxxxx Xxxxx. ** I still shared a bedroom with Jessica. **My favourite tv shows were Neighbours, Home and Away and 90210. ** I never posed nicely for the camera. ** My best friend was Xxxx Xxxxx ** We spent most school holidays with Dad. **

17 comments Thu, 20 Feb 2014 23:33:22 +0000 2 Months

by: tracermajig

Description}: The thing I love the most about Layer Works templates is that you can either leave them be or have lots of fun using them as a starting point. I was inspired by the colours I saw in some ideas my sister emailed me for her daughter’s bedroom makeover and wanted to use them in a layout but did not feel like coming up with a page design. Layer Works to the rescue! I got to play without having to think too much. That’s my idea of fun! ;) Thanks for looking! :) Layer Works No. 418 Baby Blush Scrapbooking Kit (metal spot tag) Baby Blush: Monthly 3x4 Printable Cards (re-coloured) Cardstock Tabs No. 02 ChelseaRae Complete Collection (bow) Cupid Cards No. 01 (set at linear burn blending mode to make part of the background) Golden Basics Paper Pack No. 02 Golden Glitter Splatters No. 01 Hey There Border Strips Lens Flares: Colors No. 01 Leyton Add-On Paper Pack (clipped to banner stamp) Leyton Scrapbooking Kit (banner stamp, blue chevron paper) Lightly Woods Paper Pack No. 01 Linen Buttons: Lovely No. 01 Looking for Love Kit (banner / twine re-coloured) Paint it Gold No. 01 Painted Pastels No. 01 Pencil Twist Arrows No. 01 Textured Cardstock: Faded Berry Paper Pack Thin Classic Photo Frames Curled and Flat No. 01 Washi Tapes: Lovely Clusters No. 01 Worth Repeating Brushes and Stamps No. 22 Font: Pea Carmen Journaling: AT YOUR 2 MONTH CHECK UP YOU WEIGHED 6kgs (13lb 3oz) & WERE 51cm (20 inches) LONG. Your midnight feed started to become later and later until you skipped it out completely. I knew then it was only a matter of time before Mummy and Daddy got some sleep again! Sure enough, this week you had a night where you slept from 10-3.30am. That night I had to check you were ok! Pretty quickly though you have settled into a routine of 9/9:30pm until 5-6am. You then have a feed and go back to sleep until around 9am. Your Mummy doesn’t know what to do with herself some days! Although I guess the housework would be a good start!

15 comments Tue, 18 Feb 2014 21:11:30 +0000
