Default Layout of the week 12/04/2007
Hello Everybody and thanks for stopping by
This week I found a page that does a great job of documenting an Event, something I really struggle with
- I end up with tons of not so great pictures that usually never make it on a page.
Elena’s page Lincoln Marsh Field trip showcases pictures of her son’s trip.



I love her color Scheme and how she arranged the elements and photos - look at those Footprints and the corner brush!

Here are the answers to your questions:

How long have you been digital scrapbooking?
I've been digi scrapping for about a year, and I paper scrapped for about 9 years before that.

What size do you scrapbook the most?
12x12 (8x8 if it's a mini-album)

What do you think your scrapping style is?
I'm most happy with my layouts when I stick to a clean, simple "paper real" look (and I love clustering elements!)

What motivated you to begin scrapbooking in the first place?
In the words of Ali Edwards... "capture life. create art."

How has your style changed from when you first began scrapping?
I still scrap chronologically in general, but I do alot more "daily details" and "slice of life" layouts than the "event" layouts I used to do.

Three all-time favorite designers?
I have to narrow it down to 3?!! O.K. Katie Pertiet, Katie Pertiet, and Katie Pertiet (I'm slowly, but surely buying her entire store!)

I'm a point and shoot girl - I use a little Cannon PowerShot SD900 (10 megapixel) Digital Elph

What software do you use to scrap? PSE5

What is your favorite color? Green!

Do you listen to a music when you scrap?
I actually prefer quiet when I scrap... Zen and the art of scrapping I guess!

What are your favorite snacks while scrapping?
Iced green tea and dark chocolate (purely for their antioxidant qualities of course!)

Who are your 3 digital scrapping buddies?
I feel like the whole DD community are my buddies

Where would your dream vacation be?
Right now, the top of my list includes: China, Iceland, the Netherlands, New Zealand and Scottland!

What do you want to do right now? Scrap!!!

Your favorite color, green, sure looks good on this field trip page. I agree with Dagmar, you scrapped an event with wonderful photos that tell the story and a great, simple style that impresses me!

What I love most about this layout is the fact that what appears to be a rather nondescript photo was brought to life with those wonderful stamps! What a terrific way to preserve this field trip! I enjoyed reading about you, Elena.
